Our client is NYSE listed conglomerate having their regional office in Abu Dhabi and is looking for aProcurementManager / Strategic Buyer.
·He/she is responsible and leads all strategic purchasing related activities during the APD (Advance Product Development) process to outsource new parts for the factories and the concerned commodities.
·Execute fiscal year’s commodity strategy
·Lead Strategic Purchasing to deliver supply chain projects in line with commodity strategy
·Create and manage contracts with strategic suppliers
·Take ownership of the material purchasing variance and lead necessary initiatives to meet fiscal year’s KPI – assess / challenge / enhance specific processes & procedures where Purchasing is contributor.
·Continuously improve the supply base in terms of quality, cost, service level and continuous improvement.
·Monitoring and achieving KPI’s.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Manage Strategic & Approved Suppliers: Negotiate terms and conditions and contract with suppliers. Challenge Supplier prices based on raw-material costs and cost breakdowns. Create/supervise projects for continuous improvement of scores. Increase share of strategic suppliers over total supply turnover parallel to their performance. Deploy capacity planning, risk management, strategic contracts, rebate agreements, Lean Activities with Strategic Suppliers and yearly cost reductions.
·Effectively manage supplier selection to meet commodity strategy, quality, service, cost, risk mitigation and supplier capabilities requirements whilst developing long-range global capacity and commodity strategy objectives based on growth plans by region.
·For the concerned commodities take ownership and accountability for the material purchase variance, having it monitored, investigated and in line with the fiscal year KPI.
·Monitor data, collaborate with Steering Committee to enhance supplier performance for cost/quality/service and continuous improvement. Apply controlling tools, report on progress made (prices/cash-discount/inventory/lead-times/quality/contracts), control data integrity in ERP’s and manage corrective action with the plant teams
·Lead the function ensuring that the most competitive supply chain is always set-up in terms of cost / service / quality for any new project.
·Challenge the status-quo be that at Suppliers in terms of supply chains / prices / contracts or internally within terms of processes / procedures where Purchasing is contributor/leader.
·Investigate procurement market, consolidate existing suppliers, identify favorable new sources, identify new technology, increase market transparency and optimize the future supply base
