The purpose of this role is to provide commercial management advice and support and to ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with contractual terms and established guidelines.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of commercial kitchens supplies industry practices, processes and requirements.
Identify and make contact with potential new customers with a view to securing new long term projects.
Provides commercial support to project management, ensures project documentation is in accordance with contractual terms and identifies areas for commercial value creation.
Ensures negotiated contracts received are properly implemented by the business unit to achieve and embed the negotiated benefits in cost and service.
Analyzes each contract and outlines key requirements, conditions and obligations and provides subject matter expertise on commercial contracts terms.
To achieve set turnover targets/budget targets.
Preparation of tenders through close liaison with Estimation department.
Conducts review of commercial terms to ensure all liabilities in case of performance bonds, guarantees and warranties are addressed and approved.
Work closely with the project team; ensure optimum delivery of the project whilst exercising control of costs, procurement and management of the supply chain.
Performs risk management, value management and cost control activities including identifying, analyzing and mitigating commercial risk.
Contributes to the production of budgets and forecasts through identification of risks and opportunities.
Facilitates commercial management of subcontracts and suppliers and monitors contractual performance and reporting.
Evaluates cost and schedule impact of all changes and delays and provides recommendations on settlement of contract variations.
Prepares monthly valuations, interim payment certificates, bills of quantity, scope of work in a timely and accurate manner.
Processes necessary requirements for existing contracts and ensures timely payments to vendors, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
Assist with the introduction and development of information technology/management systems in order to optimise and improve working practices and procedures and assist in training others in the use of these systems.
Any other duties the Company may reasonably require.
Sets performance goals at the beginning of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role.
Identifies the training and development requirements for self to ensure on going capability development.
