We are looking to hire aCategory Specialistwho will be providing support execution of strategic and operational sourcing initiatives and assist Category Manager across the strategic sourcing cycle for our client – a leading semi-government organization in Dubai, UAE.
This position is8 monthscontract role, renewable based on performance.
The role sits within theSupply Managementdepartment and reports directly to theSenior Manager – Category Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the execution of strategic and operational sourcing processes, and approve commitment, based on authority delegated.
Help in gathering and collating supply market information.
Responsible for preparation of RFP documents and collate clarifications from suppliers.
Execute sourcing strategies in close collaboration with the business stakeholders for the respective spend categories.
Support the Category Managers for purchases and sourcing.
Coordinate with suppliers based on the evaluations / negotiations for purchases and submit for approval.
Assist in negotiating with suppliers and obtain approval of finalized contracts and purchase orders as per the approved delegation of authority.
Set up contracts in Oracle.
Support the development of multi-year category strategies and plans to achieve maximum lifecycle value from assigned spend categories.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management/Procurement/Related or similar.
Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier relations.
CIPS qualification
Strong experience fit-out projects.
Experience in working with various levels of stakeholders.
Experience working in a large, highly matrixed organization with high comfort managing complex and dynamic stakeholder structures.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent knowledge of ERP system, preferablyOracle.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability
Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum of 30 days after accepting the offer.
