Title: Carrier Relations Director
CEQUENS is planning to be the leader in the $100B+ cloud communications platform (CPaaS) market. Businesses depend on our APIs and SDKs to connect with their customers all over the world.
The Director of Carrier Relations ensures we have the best network connectivity to drive our customers’ success. This hands-on role enables Cequens to deliver the high levels of quality and breadth of service our customers expect. Your goal is to achieve cost savings and drive increased sales through negotiation of favorable vendor contract and utilization.
You will review each of our vendors’ operational/sales performance and proactively initiate, develop and drive vendor and network improvement plans designed to maximize the cost and quality efficiency of our access and core network.
Plan and execute yearly expansion plan.
Establish and maintain strong business relationships with international carriers, local operators, SMS hubs to grow and strengthen our bilateral route connectivity.
Manage the overall business relationships with telecommunication providers, including daily, weekly, and monthly communication, deal-making and negotiation, contract negotiation, strategic direction, buying and selling.
Lead a global team of Carrier Relations Managers to:
Build new connectivity with Carriers and Partners across Messaging, voice and other network services
Co-ordinate with internal teams to ensure requests from customers and the business are processed and delivered
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key Carrier partners
Position Cequens as the partner to work within the Carrier community through industry engagement and thought leadership
Leverage Cequens’ s position to get the best deal in the market
Provide effective communication around team KPIs and performance both upwards to the Senior Leadership Team and to the wider organization
Negotiate effectively with carriers and partners to allow Cequens to offer our customers competitive pricing.
Define customer support standards with carriers and partners, including a robust escalation process.
10+ years of experience.
In-depth knowledge of industry and carrier guidelines.
Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational skills Educated to degree level
Confident to communicate at all levels, including as a keynote speaker
Able to think strategically and with an out of the box problem solving mind set
Experience working with Carriers Globally
