Job Description

The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Business Intelligence Specialist in the Institutional Excellence Department. Reporting to the Institutional Research Manager. The Business Intelligence Specialist must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Institutional Excellence Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will gather, process, and communicate information from analytics, data, and metrics to support all CNA-Q schools and departments in their strategic decision-making process.
Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Business Intelligence Specialist at the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar. The Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible to support the Institutional Excellence Department with the development of CNA-Q’s strategic and operational plans.  
The Successful Candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, analyzing and sustaining analytics tools and reports, financial and business performance metrics, trending for activity models and provide forecast and impact assessments.
The successful candidate will develop and provide executive management with accurate and timely reports and comprehensive dashboards, including development of self-service reporting capability and creating Business Intelligence (BI) visual analytics standards, business rules and processes.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain robust working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and work with key executives, consultants and financial stakeholders with feasibility exercises, what-if analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and evaluation of options for any given project, initiative and strategic directions aligned with CNAQ vision.
The successful candidate will design dashboards to measure the key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in data integrity, conduct regular audit and sense check analysis to ensure all the information provided through BI platform is accurate and up-to-date.
The successful candidate will also verify user list access to ensure only authorized personnel have the access to the reports and dashboard.  Other important functions include interpreting, evaluating and correlating research data and developing integrated business analysis to ensure inclusion into the strategic planning process.
The successful candidate should possess the ability to determine KPls across the organization and key departments in line with the balanced score card and other strategic objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
The successful candidate will contribute towards setting goals, objectives and performance metrics for the Business Intelligence function as well as the implementation of BI function’s strategy in coordination with CNAQ’s overall vision.


Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or relevant field
Fluency in written and spoken English language
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is an asset
Other Required Skills:
Strong leadership skills with a desire to achieve organizational success and to lead by example is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management skill is essential.
The candidate should have the ability to anticipate change and effectively manage quality and risk at all times. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisations is required. Advanced skills in Business Intelligence with demonstrated knowledge of performance analysis, data analysis, and environmental analysis and reporting is required. A commitment to ongoing professional and self-development especially in the area of Business Intelligence and continuous professional development. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as fluency in English language.
