Position: Business Development & Technical Sales Manager – Broadcast Distribution Summary
Territory: MEA
Market Segment: Broadcast Distribution (BCD)
Role Overview: Responsible for developing new opportunities in English speaking Africa for BCD and preparing quotations and answers to bids for MEA region.
With a growing broadcast portfolio and customer base, we are looking for a talented and competitive business development manager and Technical Sales Manager that will thrive in a dynamic sales environment.
The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving ambitious revenue growth objectives. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of broadcast market in English Africa as well as interesting customers contacts.
The successful candidate will have a deep sales and technical understanding of Broadcast solutions including Terrestrial Distribution (DTV, FM, DAB). Job Responsibilities Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
Engage with End-Users and Channel to develop the business;
Responsible for sales target achievement in English Africa;
Provide presentation, workshop and demos remotely and at Customer premises;
Timely prepare quotation for tenders, RFIs RFPs and other sales enquiries;
Optimal cost calculations to win projects with acceptable margins and delivery timelines;
For turnkey projects requiring 3rd party systems and services, work in collaboration with the Bid Manager Middle East & Africa;
Create efficient and competitive technical solutions for tenders with the support of Bid Manager, Technical Manager & technical sales in HQ;
Engage in site surveys prior to bid preparation as and when required;
Engage with customers in tender clarifications and at times in commercial negotiations;
Handover won projects with all relevant information to project manager/ commercial manager;
Attend customer sales meetings and exhibitions;
Maintain opportunity, quotation and accounts section of the CRM tool up-to-date
Participate in marketing activities;
Provide weekly reporting to Sales director MEA Broadcast Distribution;

Your qualifications

Job Qualifications
Degree in engineering, network and communication technology, computer science or a comparable field and/ or several years of professional experience in Business Development and/or Technical Sales;
Experience as a Business Development Manager/ Technical Sales Manager in a technically
challenging and competitive environment, working with Broadcast Distribution, in an international
In- basic technical understanding of Broadcast distribution;
Independent and proactive manner of working;
Strong analytical, strategic and communication skills;
Confidence, result oriented and creativity describes your character;
Willingness to travel into Africa.
A fluent command of English (written and spoken); French language is an added asset.
