Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Commercial Performance

  • in preparation of sales budgets
  • sales plans by utilizing sales techniques, responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports etc.
  • the revenue targets and profitability targets of Business Sales Department while adhering to Home Centre procedures and guidelines
  • the customers’ specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet those needs
  • forecast quarterly, monthly and annual revenue streams
  • maximum optimization of Home Centre product portfolio
  • aspirational use of products through strong visual & design statements

Business Management and Development

  • internal & external opportunities for sales and new areas for development through detailed research of the market.
  • commercial application of styling trends and direction
  • periodic competition review to ensure Home Centre remains ahead of the curve in the market
  • sales presentations for marketing and promoting the product portfolio during various industry events
  • in finalization and implementation of new initiatives to enhance Business Sales
  • with clients to ensure Home Centre is their preferred supplier by providing excellent customer service

Customer Focus

  • target segment, create interest in the product portfolio and generate new business leads by networking and following up
  • furniture styling concepts with a practical application to achieve successful results
  • and coordinate with MCD, Warehouse, Design and Finance to ensure best in class customer service
  • new customer relations whilst strengthening business with the existing ones
  • regular site visits to ensure timely completion of project in line with the signed customer agreement
  • standard operating procedures are followed while raising quotations, invoicing, delivery of items and payment collections.
  • customer issues / complaints are addressed and resolved in timely manner
  • with the Marketing team to design awareness and promotion campaigns targeting specific market segments / clients

Inventory Management and Stock Distribution

  • effective stock management for Business Sales (order management, stock availability, stock movement, returns)
  • monthly feedback to Concept on business sales, stock positions and product feedback
  • on credit orders, credit O/S and payments
  • and agree on credit limits, discount and other term with customers in line with agreed internal policies

Business Management and Development

  • all projects are executed in compliance with Home Centre’s standard operating procedures
  • and provide feedback on commercial environment, competitor activities and market trends in Business Sales and its impact on business

People Management

  • sales teams by establishing programs/seminars related to new accounts, sales growth, profitability, improved presentation strategies etc.
  • and support recruitment
  • KRA’s for direct reportees and conduct performance reviews
  • staff deployment and drive motivation levels of direct reportees
  • effective resource planning and succession planning
