We are seeking a talentedAssociate Plannerwho is responsible for delivering the division/brand merchandise strategy for the area of responsibility through development of the seasonal and yearly product and location sales plans, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and allocation of products with a view to maximizing sales and gross margin.
What you’ll be doing?
Collaborate with Sr. Planner/Planner, Buying counterpart, Commercial & Digital teams to develop the merchandise planning strategy for area of responsibility using data-driven input from historical trends, customer analytics, market conditions and supplier demands.
Execute the merchandise planning strategy through sound merchandise planning, OTB budgeting, forecasting, inventory allocation and optimal in-season inventory management for the area of responsibility in line with sales and revenue targets.
Provide analytical input to Finance to support business budget and forecasting processes.
Under the guidance of the Sr. Planner/Planner or Divisional Planning Managers/GM Planning, manage category/brand sales, gross margin and sell-through performance to budget for the area of responsibility.
Develop and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial plans and replenishment strategies that support the high-level assortment vision and financial objectives.
Manage the in-season business reforecast process for the area of responsibility in line with department financial targets.
Prepare financial analysis and reports based on sales and inventory turn performance and other market and product-based historical data to support decision-making and problem solving in order to meet sales and gross profit targets.
Develop and maintain effective working partnerships with key stakeholders including Buying, Commercial, Digital, Store Teams, Finance, Warehouse, Logistics, Operations, IT and vendors.
Under the guidance of the Sr. Planner/Planner develop the annual sales budgets and forecasts for the area of responsibility, working closely with the buying, digital, commercial and finance teams to gain alignment on sales, margin, and turnover targets.
Identify and leverage size growth opportunities, edit for clarity, and ensure localization initiatives align with customer demand.
Evaluate market and customer information together with historical data and forward trends to forecast sales and develop assortment vision.
Analyze sales and inventory flow to determine specific category and product trends as well as consumer behaviors to build foundation for assortment and allocation strategies to create attractive offerings.
Identify fulfillment strategies to optimize inventory between channels.
Make recommendations for promotional markdowns.
Identify white space opportunities, assortment optimization initiatives, and growth opportunities.
