About the Role:
As Assistant Sales
Manager, you will be responsible to manage deliverable of targetedvolumes throughout UAE terminal facilities; ensure market awarenessof the advantages held by our UAE Terminals and work towardscustomers to build and present compelling long-term propositionswhich align value with the strategic direction of our business andimportantly, generate new profitable business.
You willalsomaintain, develop and recognize key accounts on a regular basis andbe aware of the market trends from all the existing and potentialfeeders.
Togenerate Volumes throughout UAE terminals, as per targetsset. Accountable to meet and exceed agreedtargets & KPIs set Negotiating salesdeals with customers and following up on a regularbasis. Champion the continued development ofthe company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to mapcustomers, trade bodies and industry associations, promoting strongpersonal relationships with all business influencers.
Promote one’s own position within the greaterbusiness. Maintain a working knowledge of colleague’saccounts, sufficiently appreciate drivers for each customer and beable to step in to provide guidance and shadow cover whennecessary. Be commercial project lead oncustomized solutions to customers, ensuring the respective internalteam resources allocated to assist o securing thecustomer/business. Continually strive toidentify and seek to capitalise on profitable businessopportunities, particularly where these may complement and increasecompany’s overall supply chain offerings, includingsubsidiary businesses.
Accountability forcustomer financial relationships, which includes: billing, overduesand payment behaviour.
Understanding of allaspects of Port Operations, support functions and developedinformation systems.
Ability topresentfindings and recommendations to Senior Management via reports andpresentations. Should have personal presence,character and determination as well as having extensiveunderstanding of the global port, shipping landscape and tradingmarkets. Previous experience in Shipping line(Sea Forwarding / Air Freight Forwarding) Sales.
Previous UAE work experiences required
Preferably Chinese/Mandarin speaking Skills
