Title: Assistant Manager, Special Assets
Organization Unit Purpose
To Collect the Outstanding from defaulting Retail HL & OD and SME-OD ENBD customers
Job exists to manage the home loan delinquent pool of
delinquent accounts monthly from the total portfolio size of
AED 9.0 Billion,
and to ensure that flow of accounts in delinquency is reduced (by reducing coincident delinquency ratio) and under control.
The unique contributions made by the job holder are:
Reduce the HL front-end delinquency ratio in order to control further delinquency
To monitor high risk/high value current mortgage accounts to take pre-emptive remedial actions & minimize the flow into delinquency.
Supervise & Support all delinquent HL, RCL, Retail OD, ENBD SME OD and EI SME OD accounts.
Manage RCL & OD (Including ENBD SME-OD & EI SME – OD) accounts delinquency pool of 200 Mio, around 4,000 delinquent account monthly, and control the delinquency and to increase the cash collection from recovery portfolio
Increase the cash collection in recoveries portfolio to reduce the provision
Maximize the out of court settlement to reduce the litigation cost and save time
Attending expert meeting (assigned by the court) to obtain favorable judgment to bank
Followed up the Civil case procedures to ensure the sale of distressed units in public auction after getting court orders
Monitor all process pertain to Civil case process, restructuring & rescheduling, PLA filing, Batch debiting, Loan closure, property management, auction process, Write-off and write back process, settlements etc.
Reduced Provision risk (Calculating and verifying monthly provision risk on HL portfolio with GRC) and release losses through controls on the 181+ HL pool.
Interface with both external and internal customer in order to make sure the best practices on all process
Cash collection Ratio & Delinquency Ratios
Contribute to organization’s financial performance by achieving financial targets assigned and ensuring that collections / costs are monitored and controlled.
Staff satisfaction level
Address and resolve problems of an exceptional nature in order to achieve timely and satisfactory solutions.
Handling complaint calls and resolve amicably to project a professional image of the bank
Compliance & Control
Monitor and implement compliance and control measures in order to protect the interests of the bank.
Monitor the debit batch posting and to be forwarded to Debit team
Control on SME portfolio (Managing write-off and write back process)
Verify the civil case invoices prior billing
Results achieved & Accuracy & Customer satisfaction levels
Propose procedural improvements based on periodic reviews, in order to enhance service delivery.
Visit Developer’s office and Land department, if required
MIS & Suggestions approved/implemented
Ensure preparation / submission/ dissemination of relevant reports / returns for management information / action.
Present the RCL, ENBD SME-OD & EI SME OD accounts performance to GCD on monthly EAC and Past due meeting.
Unit’s performance & Staff satisfaction level
Supervise guide and support activities (Coaching) of members in the team to achieve unit’s objectives.
Relevant training to be arranged for the Team
