Job Purpose :
Advise and perform in-depth analysis and review of credit and other product portfolios of the individual funds and ensure that appropriate policies and corrective actions are provided to the individual funds to enhance their overall product offerings and credit and financial standing.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Contribute to the formulation of strategic objectives and plans for the Funds’ Financial Oversight & Review deputyship that would enable the achievement of NDF’s strategy, ensuring optimal services.
Provide the needed guidance in the execution of operational plans within the Credit Oversight & Product Policies department and ensure effective and efficient services are provided.
Develop procedures, models, process templates and policies according to the international best practices.
Gather, analyze data and information to provide objective assessments reports / presentations to management.
Effectively participate in executing the implementation of appropriate risk controls and measures in coordination with the Risk Management function to effectively identify and mitigate relevant risks, protecting NDF from any threat, and participate in executing special projects and assignments.
Act as an advisor Funds’ Financial Oversight & Review Deputy Governor on all related credit and product policy-related matters.
Provide regular and ad-hoc executive-level reporting to the Funds’ Financial Oversight & Review Deputy Governor and Governor.
Establish a collaboration network at a cross-fund level consisting of credit and product professionals to ensure alignment and share leading practices & lessons learned.
Participate in conducting effective review and enhancement of the product policies and guidelines across individual funds (e.g., credit, loans, guarantees, subsidies, grants etc.) and ensure that improvements are appropriately actioned.
Review products portfolio of supervised entities and evaluate credit administration processes.
Review in-depth the credit portfolios of the individual funds and oversee their effective segregation into ‘good’ and ‘bad’ loans (NPL’s) to support funds in their day-to-day operations.
Provide guidance for the teams in credit risk management and credit portfolio management and enhance their skills and knowledge.
Provide the needed support in the identification of corrective / improvement actions to enhance the overall performance and sustainability of the funds with regards to their end-to-end credit portfolio and NPL approach based on leading practices.
Advise on critical and high-risk credit portfolios issues and risks, and ensure corrective actions are actioned in a timely and effective manner in coordination with NDF’s Risk Management function as needed.
Assist in fulfilling oversight mandate across credit management, risk assessment and financial performance of supervised entities.
Assist in monitoring the performance of supervised entities and prepare trend analysis and variance assessment.
Participate effectively in evaluating and assessment of individual funds’ product management activities such as due diligence, credit administration etc. and ensure that corrective actions are identified and implemented.
Provide subject-matter expertise while executing critical projects and contribute towards fulfillment of agreed KPIs.
