Job Description

As an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee GBA portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Account Managers also answer customer queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Service and Category Management) to improve the entire customer experience.

Ultimately, a successful Account Manager should collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our customers satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long-run.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Identifies and prioritizes new client and existing opportunities and develops solution implementation and growth strategies.

· Maintain high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting on excellent customer experience.

· Generate growth – working with internal resources, specialists and the customer to define application requirements and products supplied by GBA.

· Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and close orders with end customers and assist in the execution process

· Develop sales strategies in the accounts and engage colleagues to drive growth in the accounts.

· Make forecasts and developments by using CRM tools and by monitoring the market and the industry.

· Collaborate and coordinate with (technical) sales, field, lab and service specialists (as well as any other internal partners) to provide technical expertise to the customers.

· Create account specific events to generate the funnel for RTV products and other low selling products.

· Build an internal network within the company and engage internal company resources to resolve customer issues.


· Bachelor or Master degree of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering or scientific related field.

· 3 – 5 years proven track record in sales in Analytical instruments/High Value instruments or in Similar field.
