Lean is growing rapidly and seeking an Account Executive to join the sales team and play a key role in further growing the business in the MENA region. The candidate will be responsible for the entire sales cycle and manage deals to closure. You’ll work with a variety of companies from early stage startups to enterprise clients across different industries.

About the Job:

Lean is looking for a hands-on Account Executive who is excited to work in a fast paced environment and play a key role in further growing the business in the MENA region. The right candidate has the ability to build strong relationships, develop a deep understanding of client pain points and priorities, negotiate commercials and close deals.

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle from prospecting leads via outbound activities, qualifying opportunities, delivering product demos, converting deals to paying clients to handing over your deals to our customer success team.

With the Lean API, fintechs can seamlessly connect to their customer’s bank accounts to initiate payments and retrieve account information, such as balance and transaction history — all while providing the customer with absolute control over their data and money.

Lean is at the forefront of the Open Banking initiative within the Middle East. We aim to create a supportive and collaborative ecosystem of fintechs to support the growth of the industry within the region and ultimately give end-users useful products and seamless experiences.


Be responsible for generating new revenue growth in the region by selling existing and future Lean products

Own the entire sales cycle from qualification to close and handover to Integration and Customer Success teams

Work closely with Sales Development Representatives to generate/qualify leads and book new meetings

Develop relationships with company leaders from multiple functions (e.g., Engineering, Product, and Operations)

Build and manage a robust pipeline of new and expansion business that will support quarterly and annual goals

Be the voice of the client in internal product discussions, and influence future product features and developments

Measure and report on success metrics to define sales best practices

What you’ll need:

Have 2-3 years of experience in a B2B commercial role, previous experience in fintech/payments is desirable.

Have outstanding relationship building, communication and negotiation skills

Proven track record of consistent overachievement of targets and revenue goals

Passionate about technology and fintech.

A structured sales approach and experience using a CRM tool

Proven sales methodology and the ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements

Familiarity with the MENA fintech market and a relevant network of warm contacts.
