5G Design Expert

Senior Network Design consultant with a wide experience in 2G/3G/4G/5G. End-End network view acquired

through a substantial exposure to domains which constitute modern network architecture such as SON, IoT,

M2M, SDN, NFV, C-RAN, ORAN, MIMO is required.

• Manages the day to day team operations within a specified scope, by undertaking related work processes and
• ensuring accuracy.
• Extended 2G/3G/4G/5G network design experience, with at least one of the three main RF vendors.
• Up to date in-depth knowledge of 5G technology and design considerations for the field deployment.
• NB-IoT, Cloud RAN, ORAN, LTE-A and 5G design experience.
• Spectrum evolution and BW expansion experience and strategy design.
• Supervises the development of work specifications for circuits, systems and equipment, ensuring all relevant
• factors are analyzed.
• Leads the preparation of RFPs, BoQ, RFP responses and evaluations.
• Leads the analysis of the collated reports and evaluates the performance of the current architecture, systems and equipment.
• Suggest new network architecture to enhance network resilience and sus
• Analyses and reviews the design of design projects, in order to ensure these are consistent with relevant quality standards and engineering design parameters.
• Actively participates in developing technology road maps and technical solutions.
• Assists in the implementation and maintenance of the designed circuits, network, systems and equipment.
• Development and communication of design guidelines for others to use in design engineering, post review and approval from the management.
• Supervises research activities to test the feasibility, operation, or performance of approved project designs.
• Supervises the testing of circuits, systems and equipment, in order to ensure that it meets functional
• specifications.
• Supervises the evaluation of existing and potential systems/equipment, in order to identify irregularities/discrepancies.
• Supervises network dimensioning and capacity planning for new services.
• Supervises vulnerability tests in order to assist senior management in assessing security risks to the systems and equipment.
• Maintains external awareness of developments in technology in order to develop system improvement plans for use in the design and development of system modifications.
• Networks extensively within the organization and regularly communicates with Districts and implementation teams.
• Supports team members and resolves routine queries to ensure work continuity.
• Liaises with other supervisors to build effective working relationships and identifies synergies
